Alyssa is a Co-Founder and the Director of Operations at Fostering Hope.
Alyssa graduated from Messiah University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. She worked both in the pharmaceutical industry and then for a nonprofit for many years. She is currently self-employed, working as a Virtual Executive Assistant. Originally from New Jersey, she has lived in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania with her husband since 1999.
In April 2018 Alyssa and her husband Ben became foster parents with the Montgomery County Office of Children and Youth. “My parents became foster parents when I was 10 years old. It impacted the way I saw the world and became a constant little voice in the back of my mind. In 2018, that little whisper became a huge nudge and we all agreed to make it happen for our family. Becoming a foster family has been one of the best decisions of our lives. Having the opportunity to give families in our community a second chance, shape the worldview of our biological children, and grow our hearts are just a few of the many benefits.”
Alyssa and Ben have two sons and a daughter who keep them extremely active. They enjoy all outdoor activities, vacationing in the Outer Banks, and family movie nights.
